Type locality Austria, "from sources in the Hochgitzen or from the Fischbach bed ... also in a source on the Gaisberg near Guggental and on the Heuberg above Schwandt" [details]
Type material The types are probably lost. Mahler's collection is located in the Kremsmünster observatory. However, almost the entire Bythiospeum collection was given to L. HÄSSLEIN for identification and was not returned due to Mahler’s sudden death [details]
