Note Type locality unclear - Schlotheim (1820)...
Type locality Type locality unclear - Schlotheim (1820) stated that it nearly always co-occurs with the former species (i.e., Helicites gregarius = Hydrobia gregaria), for which he listed several localities from the areas of Mainz and Frankfurt, as well as Bouxwiller ("Buschweiler") in Alsace/France. The latter record clearly belongs to a different species. [details]
