He listed several localities and strata with ages ranging from Rupelian (early Oligocene) to Aquitanian (early Miocene) combined for the parent species (Litorinella acuta) and the three varieties (vulgaris, elongata and gibba). According to Kadolsky & Schäfer (1995) it is restricted to the Aquitanian strata. [details]
