Taxonomic remark Taylor (1966) and Wesselingh (2006) treated Liris Conrad, 1871 (non Fabricius, 1804) as junior synonym of Tryonia. Kadolsky (2021) followed Nuttall (1990) and considered the genus as distinct. He introduced Lorus as replacement name but did not mention any species (except the type species). Until further revision, all species classified in Liris by Nuttall (1990) are here transferred to Lorus. The classification within (subspecies vs. species) and synonymies on the species-level follow Wesselingh (2006). [details]
