Misapplication: The taxonomic name Lymnaea tumida is usually considered as a intraspecific morph of Radix auricularia living in large Alpine lakes (see, for example, Glöer, 2002). The examination of the topotypes (dried shells) of L. tumida kept in different European museums (NHMW, NMG, ZMUC) allowed Aksenova et al. (2018) to agree with this opinion. Therefore Lymnaea (Peregriana) tumida sensu Kruglov & Starobogatov (1993), which does not belong to the genus Radix, was treated by Aksenova et al. (2018) as a synonym of Ampullaceana dipkunensis.
