Authority Kanmacher (1798) published a revised edition of George Adams's Essays on the Microscope (1787); attributions of authorship of the new species of shells to "G. Adams" or "J. Adams" are incorrect. Kanmacher took the names from manuscript notes by Jacob, who is also sometimes attributed with the authorship. [details]
