Status Considered a nomen nudum and tentative synonym of the younger name Planorbarius mantelli (Dunker, 1848) by Wenz (1923)....  
Status Considered a nomen nudum and tentative synonym of the younger name Planorbarius mantelli (Dunker, 1848) by Wenz (1923). However, Eichwald (1830) provided a full Latin description in the footnote, making the name available. The status of the taxon is, however, uncertain, the synonymy issue was not discussed in the literatur later. It was only found in Simionescu & Barbu (1940), who mentioned the species as valid and in the original combination. [details]
