Original description The taxon is often referred to as "Rissoa grandis Andrusov, 1890" (e.g. Iljina 2006), but that name is a nomen nudum....  
Original description The taxon is often referred to as "Rissoa grandis Andrusov, 1890" (e.g. Iljina 2006), but that name is a nomen nudum. Andrusov (1890) wrote [for R. grandis and R. barbotii]: "Both species are distinguished by their large size, but standing very close to each other [...]. A detailed description will be given elsewhere." We are not aware of a valid description earlier than Andrusov (1905), but this issue needs further investigation. [details]
