Nomenclature Willmann (1981) treated T. cous as subspecies of T. doricus (Neumary, 1880). However, unlike stated by Willmann (1981: 147), Neritina coa is not a nomen nudum in Neumayr & Paul (1875), who provided a short but valid description. Thus, cous takes precedence over doricus. [details]
