Classification The classification with Caspia is highly unlikely. The genus is considered endemic to the late Cenozoic of the Paratethys basins (central, southeastern and eastern Europe to the Caspian Sea). Moreover, the shells illustrated by Yü & Wang (1977) do not resemble Caspia. In fact, the poor preservation and few characters hardly permit any genus attribution.
