Authority Not available from Boettger (1889, 1908), Jooss (1911), Fischer & Wenz (1912) or Wenz (1914), who treated the taxon as "mutation", which is not governed by the Code. Wenz (1916) made the name available by ranking it as subspecies and referring to Boettger's description and illustration.
