Validity The identity of Helix exigua is very uncertain. There was no original illustration and no types are known to exist. It was listed by Stuardo & Vega (1985) as incertae sedis, and tentatively included, without discussion, in Radiodiscus by Fonseca & Thome (1993). In fact, no specimen has been attributed to Helix/Radiodiscus exiguus since Philippi (1855). [details]
