Fossil range Zhu (1976) recorded specimens from the Guyang Formation (Aptian-Albian; P. Jin et al. 2017, Island Arc) and the Daqingshan Formation (~Tithonian-Berriasian; M. Zhang et al. 2020, Open Geosci.). Given the long stratigraphic gap in between, it is likely that either the stratigraphy is wrong or the specimens do not belong to the same species. It is also unclear, from which deposits the holotype (pl. 14, fig. 1) comes from. [details]
