Type species Schlickum & Strauch designated Helix jourdani Michaud, 1862 as type species. According to Rousseau & Puisségur [1990, Geobios, 23: 61], they had misidentified their material and had in fact meant Retinella skertchlyi Kerney, 1976. Nordsieck (2014), acting under Art. 70.3, chose to fix Helix jourdani as type of Riedeliella. [details]
