Classification Originally considered as forerunner of Hydrobiidae by Cox (1927), later classified therein (Yen 1949). However, placement in that family is uncertain given the low number of diagnostic features and the stratigraphic gap to the other fossil record of the family, starting in the Jurassic. [details]
