Nomenclature Georissa pilsbryana Prieto, 2022 is a nom. nov. for Georissa japonica Pilsbry, 1900. However, Georissa danjyoensis K. Uozumi & A. Yamamoto, 1981, which was treated as a junior synonym of G. japonica Pilsbry, must be used as the valid name for G. japonica Pilsbry. Therefore, the introduction of Georissa pilsbryana Prieto, 2022 was unnecessary. [details]
