Status As correctly pointed out by Roger (1939), "kooki" is an incorrect original spelling. Although not explicitly writing an etymology, De Gregorio (1895) mentioned a "Prof. Kook" in the Introduction, which is obviously a misspelling for Cooke, which he cited in the reference list. [details]
