Status Introduced for Patella subquadrata Dunker, "1847" [actually 1844], "non York, 1837". It is unclear what d'Orbigny referred to, but probably to Patella subquadrata Koch & Dunker, 1837. However, those authors had recognized before publication that their species is no gastropod but a brachiopod and put the species in the genus Crania in the corrigendum (p. 62). Therefore, no homonymy exists. [details]
