Rollierella Cossmann, 1924 and Rollieria Cossmann, 1925 [published posthumously], non Rollieria Cossmann, 1920, have the same type species. Furthermore, in the publication where Rollierella was established, Cossmann referred to the name Rollieria having been already used for a nuculid. It thus seems likely that Cossmann changed Rollieria to Rollierella in the paper published in 1924, although he did not explicitly declare the latter as a replacement name. Rollieria was nevertheless published in the posthumously issued publication.
