Taxonomic remark Mennessier (1984) listed this species as different from Araratella (Quadriglauconia) requieni [sic; = Cassiope requieniana (A. d'Orbigny, 1842)], which is a replacement name for the homonym Cerithium conoideum J. De C. Sowerby, 1832, non Lamarck, 1804. Mennessier even stated this homonymy in the synonymy list, but still chose to use Sowerby's name. [details]
