Original description Mennessier (1984) introduced a new name for the specimens of Drescher (1863), considering them as misidentified Glauconiella ventricosa (Zekeli, 1852). However, although Drescher referred to Zekeli's genus (Omphalia), he explicitly introduced the species as new under his name. As such, Glauconiella subventricosa is an objective synonym of Drescher's species that becomes the valid name because of homonymy, but it is not a replacement name. [details]
