Editor's comment Beu (2004: 181) recognized the probable synonymy of Venus sphaericula Deshayes, 1853, and Tawera bollonsi Powell, 1932, but treated the former as a nomen oblitum under Art. 23.9 of the ICZN Code. Although Beu failed to give the evidence required by the Code, it is clear that Huber (2010) should not have restored sphaericula as the valid name. [details]
