Taxonomy In the "Manual of Conchology" (1885:263, 305), Tryon transposed his plate references to the figures of Tonna testardi Montrouzier and Eudolium crosseanum Monterosato. Osima, not aware of this error, figures E. crosseanum for T. testardi and placed it in the genus Eudolium (fide Turner, 1948) [details]
