Type material 1 specimen, holotype, NHMUK Type collection (recent Mollusca) 1888.4.18.3, and as such examined and entered in view of its pre-occupation. There is no need for replacement through the synonymy with Mesalia intermedia (Deshayes, 1824). The holotype is a clear fossil specimen, let it be somewhat polished - or subject to an attempt to polish - in the past. [details]
