type locality contained in France [details]
Type locality Type locality not entirely clear - Brongniart wrote "Il se trouve avec l'espèce précédente" [found with the preceding species], but for that one (Planorbis rotundatus) he listed several localities (Milon-la-Chapelle, Dép. Yvelines, Palaiseau, Dép. Essonne, the forest of Montmorency, Dép. Val-d'Oise, the hill of Triel-sur-Seine, Dép. Yvelines, and the forest of Fontainebleau, Dép. Seine-et-Marne). It is uncertain whether Planorbis cornu was found at all these localities as well. [details]
