Nomenclature Kadolsky intended to describe the genus Neobembridgia in his work on the Mainz Basin (D. Kadolsky, pers. comm.). He also referred to the new name, including a description and indication of a type species, in another work dealing with the Oligocene mollusks of the Rhön. However, latter article was published first, before June 1989, while his Mainz Basin study appeared on 5 December 1989. Note that the publication dates are incorrectly represented in the two articles, in both cases indicating the year 1988. [details]
