Nomenclature Established as a unnecessary substitute name for Polydontes Montfort and therefore the type species of Polydontes is also the type species of Luquillia. However, Crosse established Luquillia for Helix luquillensis Shuttleworth, 1854. Both names are in current use, with different taxonomical extensions. Status clarification needed [details]
