Bellardi, L. (1882). I molluschi dei terreni terziarii del Piemonte e della Liguria. Parte III. Gasteropoda (Buccinidae, Cyclopsidae, Purpuridae, Coralliophilidae, Olividae). Ermanno Loescher, Roma, Torino, Firenze; 253 pp., 12 pl., available online at http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/45376

Note Bellardi cited "Ancillaria canalifera Bast....
Type species Bellardi cited "Ancillaria canalifera Bast. (in part)" in synonymy of Ancillarina suturalis, and explicitly refered to A. canalifera being an Eocene species; Basterot [1825, Mémoire géologique sur les environs de Bordeaux, 1: 42] had refered his Miocene material to Ancillaria canalifera Lamarck, 1803, and Basterot's material was named Ancillaria subcanalifera d'Orbigny, 1852. Palmer [1937, Bulletins of American Paleontology, 7(32): 429] refered to A. canalifera as being "the type" of Ancillarina. This is obviously a case where Art. 70.3 applies (misidentified type species). [details]
