Type designation Tellina amnica was originally included by Pfeiffer in the synonymy of Pisidium obliquum [= Cyclas obliqua Lamarck, 1818], which he used as the valid name. Placed on the Official List by Opinion 335, 1955, Opinions and Declarations rendered by the ICZN, 10: 47, with the type species selection as indexed here. The Opinion however overlooked the earlier fixation of Cyclas obtusalis Lamarck, 1818 [also an originally included species] by Anton [1838, Verzeichniss der Conchylien…: 14]. [details]
