Status Hertlein & Strong (1955:272-273) discuss and make evident that Dall's Turritella mariana is the same as Kiener's Turritella radula yet refrain from concluding by lack of specimens from Ecuador for comparison. It is however clear that the two named species are variations of the same. [details]
