From other sources
Taxonomy Bayer (1937:29) considered the "Doliidae" in the Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie within a complete overview of existing species and varieties at the time. He considered Dolium Lamarck, 1801 as genus over Tonna Brünnich, 1771 and considered Eudolium Dall, 1889 (including some species of Oocorys P. Fischer, 1884), Dolium (s. s.) Lamarck, 1801 and Cadium Link, 1807 (which he prefers over Malea Valenciennes, 1832) as subgenera. [details]
