Editor's comment Glaubrecht et al. (2009) accepted Melasma as distinct genus unaware that Cossman's (1909) type designation rendered it a junior synonym of Elimia. Earlier, the species was placed in Sermylasma by Iredale (1943), which is a junior synonym of Sermyla.  [details]
