Status Replacement name expressedly introduced for Janira striato-costata d'Orbigny, 1847, non Goldfuss, 1840. However, in 1847 d'Orbigny had clearly listed Pecten striatocostatus Goldfuss, 1833 in the synonymy of his "Janira striato-costata d'Orbigny, 1846" [sic]. Since the name is a junior objective synonym of Goldfuss' taxon, it would be available as new name for Pecten striatocostatus Goldfuss, 1833, non Münster, 1833 (simultaneously published). Still, the action of a first reviser is required! [details]
