Monterosato (1884) seems to have used indifferently "genere" and "sezione" for all his new genus-group taxa. Whereas some of the names marked as "nov. sect." can be related to (and could be treated as subgenus of) a genus name preceding in the text, others (e.g. Pyrgisculus
, p. 88, Doliella
p. 98) cannot. For this reason, and also because all species are consistently treated in this paper as forming a binomen with the new "sections", these names are treated in WoRMS as introduced with the rank of genus.
