The type species of this genus was Helix (Chloritis) pseudomiara Bavay & Dautzenberg, 1909 by monotypy.
The anatomically-examined specimen (i.e., on which the genus is based) was in fact Helix condoriana. Under the provisions of Article 70.3 ICZN, the original type species Helix (Chloritis) pseudomiara Bavay & Dautzenberg, 1909 was replaced with Helix condoriana Crosse & Fischer, 1863 as the type species of Bellatrachia Schileyko, 2018 to serve the stability of nomenclature.
