Spelling As "Stolizskai" in text, as "Stolitzskai" in figure captions; although not explicitly stated, Fontannes apparently named the taxon after F. Stoliczka (author of Lymnocardiidae), and the spelling should thus be "stoliczkai". [details]

Spelling Probably named after the Moravian palaeontologist Ferdinand Stoliczka, which would make the name an original misspelling, but there is no etymology and Stoliczka's name is not found anywhere in the publication.  [details]

Type locality "Cucestii, val. Otasaului (Jud. Vilcea)" [Cucești], Romania; Dacian, early Pliocene [details]
