Distribution Alderia modesta is the only species of Alderia found in the northeastern Atlantic. European populations have been widely reported from the United Kingdom and Ireland, Scandinavia and surrounding waters, the German Baltic coast as well as estuaries in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. There are no confirmed records from the Mediterranean. [details]
