Homonymy Guo (1985) transferred Trigonioides yunnanensis Z.-W. Gu & Q.-H. Ma, 1962 to the genus Peregrinoconcha, rendering its type...  
Homonymy Guo (1985) transferred Trigonioides yunnanensis Z.-W. Gu & Q.-H. Ma, 1962 to the genus Peregrinoconcha, rendering its type species Peregrinoconcha yunnanensis J.-H. Chen & X. Lan, 1976 a secondary homonym. Guo raised the subspecies Peregrinoconcha yunnanensis nuanliensis F.-X. Guo, 1981 to species level and synonymized it with the nominal species to solve the homonymy issue. However, this act ignores the fact that two subspecies are not identical and cannot be considered replacement names for each other. Moreover, the transferal of Trigonioides yunnanensis Z.-W. Gu & Q.-H. Ma, 1962 to Peregrinoconcha was not accepted by later authors (e.g. J.-H. Chen 1990). Hence, the homonymy issue does not persist and the original species/subspecies status of Peregrinoconcha yunnanensis and P. yunnanensis nuanliensis should be maintained. [details]
