Status The identity of this species is doubtful. The presently accepted combination with Gyraulus dates back to Wenz (1923), who listed only middle Miocene localities of Ukraine (probably based on as Eichwald's comment that the species might also occur in Volhynia) but not the type locality in Belarus. Considering that there is no freshwater Miocene in the north of Belarus, the species might actually be of much younger age and not related with any middle Miocene planorbid from Ukraine.
