Status Hubendick (1946) considered Siphonaria luzonica Reeve, 1856 (May) a synonym of S. kurracheensis Reeve, 1856 (March), but Morrison (1970, Argamon 3: 56) considered it a synonym of Siphonaria laciniosa (Linnaeus, 1758). Dayrat et al. (2014, Zootaxa 3779(2)) regarded S. kurracheensis as restricted to the Northern Indian Ocean and recognized two species/species groups in the Philippines, S. laciniosa, and S. atra Quoy & Gaimard, 1833. Siphonaria luzonica could be a synonym of either. [details]
