Sacco (1897 [December], I Molluschi dei terreni terziarii del Piemonte e della Liguria, 24: 46) spelled the name as Lissochlamys and indicated it is a nom. nov. pro Pyxis de Stefani, 1878, non Bell, 1827 [Reptilia], nec Chevrolat [ex Dejean], 1843 [Coleoptera]; however, Pyxis de Stefani has a different type species.
