Nomenclature Authorship to be attributed to McCoy under Art. 50.1.1. McCoy originally included two species in Deslongchampsia, D. eugenei M'Coy, 1850 and Patella appendiculata. The former was designated as type species by Tate (1868), the latter by Laube (1868). Knight et al. (1960), acting as First Reviser, selected Laube's type designation as the valid one. [details]
