Taxonomic remark Hubendick [1951] guessed it may be a planorbid species. Tryon [1866] described L. wilsonii as a sinistral lymnaeid species. Since the sinistral lymnaeids are known from the Hawaii Islands only, it is possible that the type locality (New Zealand) may be incorrect, and Tryon's specimens originated from the Hawaiian islands [details]Type locality New Zealand, without a precise locality [details]
