Nomenclature The original spelling of the specific epithet was isibasii, but the author stated that the specimen came from Mr Ishibashi's collection. It seems that Kuroda chose to Latinise the Japanese surname as isibasi rather than ishibashi. Since there is no clear evidence of an inadvertent error here, according to Art. 32.5. 1, the original spelling must be preserved. Subsequent emendation of the name to Ovula ishibashii is therefore not justified. [details]
