Classification La Rocque (1960) noted the similarity of "Helix" riparia White, 1876, from the Flagstaff Formation, Paleocene and Eocene of Utah, to Hemitrochus but declined to make a firm generic assignment for the species (Roth 1986). Wenz (1923) placed the species in Pseudolisinoe, which is a junior objective synonym of Glypterpes. Revision required! [details]
