Status Junior homonym of Helix pontica P. Fischer in Tchihatcheff, 1866. Schlickum (1979) introduced Apula (Steklovia) halavatsi as replacement name. Lueger (1981) considered the species a junior synonym of Klikia (Apula) goniostoma. However, Helix goniostoma Sandberger, 1872 is invalid as well, because it is a junior homonym of Helix (Cochlogena) goniostoma Férussac, 1821. Several other synonyms are available but precedence is not established. Action of First Reviser needed! [details]
