Status Listed as questionable synonym of Helix (Prothelidomus) acrochordon Oppenheim, 1890 by Oppenheim (1895). If confirmed, De Gregorio's name would take precedence. This also concerns the subgenus Zeolia De Gregorio, 1880, which would take precedence over Prothelidomus Oppenheim, 1890, for which Helix acrochordon is the type species. However, De Gregorio's name seems to be not mentioned in the literature of the 20th and 21st centuries. [details]
