Type locality ‘Hab. calcem Poczaiowensem’ (Eichwald, 1829: 283); may correspond to Staryi Pochaiv, situated about 55 km NNW of Ternopil, in Western Ukraine (Vinarski & Kantor, 2016). [details]

Status ‘In our opinion, it is somewhat doubtful that a representative of the endemic Caspian genus Didacna might have lived in an area that constituts nowadays a part of Western Ukraine. In our opinion, Cardium protractum Eichwald, 1829 and Adacna protracta Eichwald, 1841 may well not to be conspecific’ (Vinarski & Kantor, 2016). [details]
